Wine Auction Memorabilia
Stunning programs, passes, and paddles from Napa Valley’s wine auction — small works of art now on display at the Heritage Center Museum.
Memorabilia that are works of art
The Heritage Center regularly receives donations — old family pictures, furniture, clothing, and memorabilia that people think might have historical value. Among the most striking are the programs, passes, and paddles from Napa Valley’s wine auction around the 2000s, true works of art that are currently displayed at the Heritage Center Museum.
About the wine auction
The Napa Valley Wine Auction — hosted by Napa Valley Vintners at Meadowood Resort since 1981 and now known as Auction Napa Valley — is one of the country’s most significant charitable events. Since 1981 it has donated more than $230 million to local health care, youth education programs, and affordable housing. The auction typically draws 900 to 1,000 attendees from around the world, including tech leaders, entertainers, athletes, and wine enthusiasts.
Changes over time
The COVID-19 pandemic brought changes to the auction, which was scaled back — but it continues to raise money in support of the Napa community.
This exhibit is on view at the Heritage Center, 1255 Oak Avenue, St. Helena.
